Q: When I draw a brush and add a texture to it, the texture appears on the outside of the brush not the inside.

A: The Embrace only ever draws textures on the outside of a brush.

There are two kinds of 3D editors: negative-space and positive-space editors. Negative space editors assume that the whole world is full of mass, and that the designer is carving out holes in this space (thus, a brush is where mass *isn't*, which is negative-space). Positive space editors assume that the world is empty, and that the designer is placing mass within a void (thus, a brush is where mass *is*, which is positive space). The Embrace is a positive-space editor.

So, Embrace doesn't ever put textures on the inside of a brush; it can't. The way to create a "hollow" brush (like, a room) is to make a brush, and then hollow it out with the Hollow button.
