General Questions: Where can I find the NOD SDK (or the 1.1 SDK patch)? How do I use the cheats?? How do I activate the console? How do I open/extract files from a .NOB file??? How do I put files back into a nob file?? My game crashes! I get a verification error when I log on to play multiplayer. Game Play: How can I identify an object? ST Mode: How do I move props to where I want them once I've placed them? The Embrace: How do I add sky to my level? GenSurf data ends up as sectors when I import GenSurf data is crashing The Embrace! Objects turn out unlit/black when I play my level When I shift+left click to select a brush, nothing happens! I'm getting "Attempted to create in static layer. Object moved to first layer." I get twinkly lines on sector boundaries in multiplayer My objects don't appear when I play my map There's a hole in the wall where my door should be! A: Well, you don't actually "remove" files from a .NOB file. NOB files are archives, like a .ZIP file. They "contain" other files, and when you extract those files from the archive, they are still in the archive. You are actually making a copy of the file from the archive to your hard drive. So, you needn't worry about putting the files "back" into a .NOB file. However, if you are wondering how to put files into a .NOB file (if, say, you were trying to build your own .NOB), you should read up a bit on the WinZip documentation.
